One of the coolest features of Windows Vista is the Aero GUI. Aero is the Vista theme that enables transparency in both the taskbar and windows. However, the tranparency only lasts as long as the windows are not maximized. Vistaglazz changes that. It enables tranparency in windows and the taskbar even when the windows are maximized.
Vistaglazz is a small simple to use program. It installs in seconds, and the interface to run it simply requires a couple of button clicks and a system reboot. Returning to original system settings is the same exact process. Vistaglazz works by changing system files, which may scare some, but I’ve found no ill effects so far. This change not only allows for the extra transparency, but also for customized Windows themes to be installed. I’ll give an update when I get that figured out. In the meantime, I’m just enjoying the extra transparency! You can find it at CodeGazer.com
